E-commerce Manager

Haywards Heath / Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 / Department: Marketing / Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

We're looking for someone who can manage the group's websites, including ongoing site optimisation using a combination of personalisation, A/B & MVT testing methodologies to deliver the target customer experience and achieve NPS targets.

You'll formulate a plan to drive increasing online activity and evidence this through improved customer experience metrics. Staying up to date with market trends you'll identify key technologies to support the delivery of the e-commerce plan and ensure we maximise ROI opportunities.

You'll fully understand end-to-end customer journeys, providing robust analytics data to support and liaise with technology partners to ensure full coverage of sensitive areas of weakness. Defining and owning web analytics and establish best practice digital tracking and insights. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing outcomes of marketing initiatives, reporting on them and incorporating the knowledge into future marketing activity and annual plan development, leading the e-commerce projects, and working closely with IT to define digital change/business cases, prioritisation and timescales. You'll also liaise with the customer insights team to continually track digital best practice, competitor activity and market trends.

What we're looking for:


The right person for this role will have proven online experience demonstrating improvement in customer journey. You'll need an in depth understanding of web analytics software, marketing and technology and solid experience in use of Adobe, Google Analytics and A/B testing software.

With the ability to think creatively and turn ideas into reality, you'll react instantly to any customer journey issues that surface and consider ideas to resolve them.

You'll also have an in depth knowledge and understanding of e-commerce principles and practices, FCA (including TCF) and ASA guidelines to financial promotions. And you'll understand the importance of web design, development, web usability and accessibility.

A confident and engaging communicator, the right candidate will take initiative to make decisions and will strive to deliver performance targets and drive business improvements to contribute to the success of the business. You'll be ambitious and results orientated with a 'can do’ attitude, whilst adapting quickly to change.

Experience in the financial services industry is strongly desired.
