Learning & Development Leadership Trainer

Manchester / Salary: From £30,000 (depending on experience) / Department: HR and L & D / Hours: Monday to Friday, 9-5, 35 hours

We’re on the hunt for talented Learning & Development Leadership Trainers to join our energetic and passionate teams in Haywards Heath and Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to really make a difference to the company as we plan the roll out of our new leadership programme.

If successful, you will support the Leadership Business Partner with the design and delivery of a first class learning experience for leaders in 1ST CENTRAL. You will introduce a wide range of blended learning interventions to enhance and embed the organisational leadership capability and effectiveness to support the learning culture as well as enhancing the culture surrounded with people development. It’s essential for the role that you can demonstrate a positive passion for learning, thinking of new and exciting methods of delivery, and also act as a key contact for our leaders, whilst embedding our company values in everything you do.

What we’re looking for:           
  • Leadership theory and application (required)
  • ILM Coaching or equivalent (required)
  • Myers Briggs - MBTI (desirable)
  • Other qualifications/ experience using psychometric tools such as HOGANS, Strenghtscope, NPS (desirable)
Skills & experience
  • Project Management experience across of a range of learning and development projects, size and type
  • Facilitation & coaching skills
  • Proven track record in design, delivery and evaluation of leadership & management development initiatives across all functions
  • Comfortable working at a leadership level with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Proven experience to facilitate team sessions for the business using recognised models such as Myers Briggs and psychometrics to better build teams
  • Experience of understanding learning needs, translating into successful solutions and evaluation
  • Run multiple high level projects to deadline at the same time
  • Confident, articulate and clear communication skills with all levels of employees and stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problems
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Expert knowledge of blended learning interventions
  • Good understanding of the business objectives
  • Understand FCA requirements, including TCF and DPA regulations
  • Ensure quality of work and timeliness by proactively resolving problems
  • Take responsibility for own performance and development
  • Displays enthusiasm, accountability, commitment and sense of purpose in interactions with customers and colleagues
