Halfway to our fundraising target
We’re delighted to have raised £20,000 for our charity of the year, St Peter & St James Hospice, and are halfway to reaching our fundraising target of raising £40,000 by the end of 2015.
The money we’ve raised so far has come from a range of activities, including sponsorship for the Greater Haywards Heath bike ride, our World Cup sweepstake, staff donations and not forgetting our amazing Ice Bucket Challenge.
Our UK Chief Executive Andy James and Communications Manager Jo Harrison visited the hospice to present them with the cheque. Andy James said: “The hospice is a fantastic facility for the local community and we are delighted that our donation has really helped to improve the facilities and make a difference to the people that use them.”
The money will go towards the completion of the new Wellbeing Centre, Beacon View, which will allow the hospice to offer over 1,500 more visits each year, provide a new space for medical consultations, counselling, arts and crafts projects or simply resting in privacy. It will also go towards external landscaping, which allows patients to spend more time outside in its beautiful surroundings.
We have lots more exciting fundraising activities planned in the coming months and we’re confident we can reach our goal of raising £40,000 by the end of the year. Watch this space!
