Learning while we work
Here at 1ST CENTRAL, we’re dedicated to helping our employees learn new skills and grow their knowledge by investing in their professional development and wellbeing.
As part of this commitment, our Learning & Development team organised our second annual Learning at Work week, which ran from 18th-22nd May, with the aim of encouraging employees to learn from one another.
Learning & Development Team Lead, Cat Harris, said: “We had more than 160 employees take part in the events and feedback so far has been extremely encouraging.”
The week involved a fun programme of internal events such as preventing online fraud, first aid at home, Photoshop for beginners, Spanish for your holidays and how to fix a chip in your windscreen. Lots of people got involved throughout the week with many classes full to capacity.
There was also a Zumba session and a Yoga class for the energetic. And for the creative bakers among us, there was a bake off competition with a prize for the creation that best represented our brand.
In between the sessions, there were daily quizzes and competitions with the chance to win some great prizes, including a Brian the Robot and two tickets to the FA Cup Final at Wembley!
