I'm an IT Support Supervisor. I manage a team of six that deal with all IT issues across the business via the Servicedesk.
How long have you been working at 1ST CENTRAL?
I’ve been here since July 2012. Initially I was a contractor and became a permanent employee in February 2013.
Tell us about your career path.
I started with the company as a contractor (Technical Support Analyst). Eight months later I became permanent as a Senior IT Support Technician, and then in May of last year I was promoted to IT Support Supervisor. I started out as a hairdresser and also worked in the music business for many years, both playing, performing and working for a record label. My interested in IT came from making music and using the software in the recording studio.
What do you love about your current role?
Being able to make a difference. It’s a very rewarding and challenging role as we have lots to juggle but we’re all striving for the same goals.
What’s the best thing about 1ST CENTRAL as a company?
The company has a great culture, employs some really great people and offers excellent career progression.
What did you want to be as a kid?
A clothes designer.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to spend time with my wife and two girls who are seven and eleven. I enjoy travelling and love running (all distances, on and off road). I still listen to a lot of music, both old and new, play the saxophone and go to gigs and festivals when I can.
Who would play you in the movie about your life?
In terms of looks I’d say Mark Strong, but I’d also quite like to see Danny Dyer in the role to add his comical value.
